About the Silver Kraienkoppe
Silver is one of the two original Kraienkoppe colours and a silver-duckwing (silver partridge) pattern: the male carries a white-silver hackle, back and saddle over a black breast, while the hen is finely pencilled grey-silver with a salmon breast. On the breed's alert, upright Malay-Leghorn frame with its small walnut comb, it is the variety most associated with the breed and remains rare in the UK.
