About the Blue La Flèche
The Blue corresponds to the French standard's 'blue-laced' (bleu liseré) variety, an Andalusian-type blue: each slate-blue feather carries a darker edge, the cock running deeper blue without rustiness, over slate-grey legs and beak. As a blue it is genetically unfixed and throws blacks and splashes alongside blues. It carries the same red 'devil's horn' V-comb and slim, upstanding La Flèche frame, and is one of the breed's rarest colours.
