About the Cream Legbar

The Cream Legbar is the famous crested, blue-egg variety, standardised by the Poultry Club of Great Britain in 1958. Hens carry brownish silver-grey plumage with broad smudged barring and a warm salmon breast, while cocks are cream-and-grey barred; both wear a small crest inherited from the Araucana crosses that also brought the blue egg. As an autosexing breed, day-old chicks are sexed by the barring pattern on the head and back.
