About the Buff Leghorn

A warm, even golden-buff right through, the Buff Leghorn is one of the older non-white colours — reported in Denmark in 1885 and England by 1888. Ideal birds show a uniform shade with no white or black in the plumage, set off by the red comb and white earlobes. It carries the breed's lean, upright build and prolific white-egg laying.
