About the Light Brown Leghorn
The Light Brown is the paler, female-line form of the brown Leghorn: hens wear a warm olive-brown back over a rich salmon breast, with golden black-striped hackles, while cocks show orange-gold neck and saddle feathers. Genetically it is wild-type (e+) without the red enhancers of the Dark Brown, giving its lighter, ground-colour look. A classic active Leghorn laying plenty of white eggs.
