About the Partridge Leghorn
The Partridge Leghorn shows the classic partridge pattern — hens with fine concentric pencilling of black on a reddish-brown ground, cocks with black-striped gold hackles and saddle over a black breast. It is one of the British Leghorn Club's recognised colours, distinguished from the plain Brown by its pencilled rather than uniform body feathering. A typical active, prolific white-egg-laying Leghorn.
