About the White Malay
Pure white throughout, the white Malay is one of the breed's oldest colours, recorded alongside the black-red in the 1865 British standard and accepted by the APA in 1981. Free of any ticking or brassiness in good specimens, the clean plumage throws the Malay's extreme height, upright carriage and cruel, overhanging brows into sharp relief. A scarce colour kept purely for show and character rather than its meagre output of small tinted eggs.
