About the Golden Cuckoo Marans

Golden Cuckoo replaces the silver of the standard cuckoo with the recessive sex-linked gold gene, so the lighter barred areas carry a warm orangey-grey, coppery cast rather than silver. Recognised in the UK and French standards and auto-sexing at hatch, it is the gold-based counterpart to the Silver Cuckoo while retaining the Marans' dark chocolate egg.
