About the Silver Cuckoo Marans

Silver Cuckoo adds the silver gene to the barred cuckoo base, lightening the ground colour so cocks in particular show white in the neck and upper breast over the black-and-grey barring. Recognised in both the UK and French standards and auto-sexing from hatch (females hatch darker than males), it keeps the breed's hallmark deep-brown egg.
