About the Splash Marans
Splash carries two copies of the Andalusian blue gene, giving a pale near-white ground broken by irregular slate-blue splashes. Bred to a Black it produces 100% Blue offspring, making it valuable for blue programmes. It is a non-standard colour but lays the breed's characteristic dark egg.
