About the Black Minorca
The original and dominant Minorca colour, Black carries uniformly glossy greenish-black plumage that throws a beetle-green sheen in sunlight, set against the breed's hallmark gleaming white earlobes and bright red comb. It has dark slate shanks, a black beak and dark brown eyes, and is the form against which all others are judged. As the largest of the Mediterranean fowl, it pairs this glamorous look with prolific large white eggs and an active, upright bearing.
