About the White Minorca

The White Minorca shows pure white plumage and, unlike the black bird's dark points, carries reddish-bay eyes with a pinkish-white beak, shanks and toes. Known in Britain since at least the 1880s, it is far scarcer than the black and was admitted to the American Standard of Perfection alongside Single Comb Black in 1888. It keeps the breed's defining large white earlobes, glamorous height and abundant large white eggs.
