About the Lemon Blue Modern Game
A blue-diluted brown-red: the black of a brown-red is softened to slate-blue while the hackle, saddle and head retain lustrous lemon striping, so the bird reads as lemon over even blue-grey. Genetically it is the birchen/brown-red pattern carrying one blue dilution gene. A handsome but less common variety within the breed's dark-furnished group.
