About the Black Naked Neck
A solid, beetle-green-sheened black plumage over the breed's signature bare red neck and reduced feathering. Black is one of the four varieties accepted by the American Poultry Association as well as the full UK standard, making it among the most widely kept colours. As with all Naked Necks, the type underneath is a hardy dual-purpose forager that lays light-brown eggs and tolerates both heat and cold.
