About the Red Naked Neck

A rich red plumage that blends visually with the breed's naturally bare red neck and face. Red is one of the four varieties accepted by the American Poultry Association and is recognised in the full UK standard. As in every Naked Neck, the foundation is a sturdy dual-purpose forager with roughly half the feathering of an ordinary fowl, laying light-brown eggs and shrugging off temperature extremes.
