About the Blue-Red Old English Game

The blue-red is a black-red in which the blue dilution gene turns the black areas — breast, tail and undercolour — to soft slate-blue while the hackle and saddle keep their red. A recognised Carlisle colour, it softens the bold black-red contrast into a smoky finish on this hard-feathered British heritage game fowl.
