About the Furness Old English Game

The furness is a brassy-backed colour: the cock shows a brass or golden head, hackle and back over a black body, each hackle feather black edged with brass and ending in a black spangle. Recognised in the Oxford standard (furness brassy back), it is one of the more distinctive metallic-toned heritage colours of this ancient British game fowl.
