About the Polecat Old English Game
Polecat is one of the rarer dark Oxford Old English Game colours, a deep near-black plumage taking its name from the colouring of the polecat (a wild mustelid). Recognised in the extensive Oxford standard rather than the Carlisle, it is among the less commonly seen heritage colours of this ancient British game fowl.
