About the Pyle Old English Game
The pyle (or pile) is essentially a black-red with the black replaced by white: cocks show rich orange-red hackle, back and saddle over a clear white breast, tail and body, hens being creamy white with salmon breasts. Recognised in both Carlisle and Oxford standards, this striking red-on-white pattern is one of the brightest and most popular Old English Game colours.
