About the Spangled Orloff
By far the most popular Orloff colour in both the UK and its Russian homeland. The cock carries rich orange-to-mahogany hackles tipped white over a black breast spangled with white, while the hen is a softer light mahogany ground evenly tipped white, the spangling intensifying with age and meant to be as uniform as possible. Sits on the breed's tall, beard-and-muff-framed, frost-defying frame laying tinted eggs.
