About the Blue Cuckoo Orpington

The Blue Cuckoo combines barring with the blue dilution gene, softening the standard cuckoo's black bars to a smoky blue-grey over a pale ground for a muted, hazy version of the barred pattern. As it carries blue it does not breed wholly true. It is a non-standard colour and uncommon, but otherwise a typical large, gentle Orpington.
