About the Jubilee Orpington
The Jubilee is a tricoloured spangle: a bright mahogany ground with each feather carrying a black spangle tipped in white, the three colours in roughly equal balance. William Cook's family created it to mark Queen Victoria's 1897 Diamond Jubilee, and the rich pattern can take well over a year to fully develop. It is one of the PCGB-recognised standard colours and keeps the breed's big, gentle dual-purpose build.
