About the Lemon Cuckoo Orpington
The Lemon Cuckoo replaces the standard cuckoo's grey ground with a soft lemon-buff, barred across with pale cream — made by introducing the sex-linked barring gene onto a Buff Orpington base. The result is a gentle, low-contrast version of the cuckoo pattern. It is a non-standard colour, still scarce, but a full soft-feathered, calm Orpington underneath.
