About the Black Pekin Bantam
The Black Pekin carries a rich, sound black with a lustrous beetle-green sheen across the whole bird, free of white or coloured feathers. The dense, glossy plumage emphasises the breed's profusely feathered, cushion-shaped body and feathered feet. Like all Pekins it is a true bantam with no large-fowl counterpart, docile and famously broody.
