About the Blue Pekin Bantam
The Blue Pekin shows a rich, even pale blue (pigeon-blue is preferred), with darker blue hackles, back and tail in the male. Because blue is genetically unstable, breeding blue to blue throws blacks and splashes alongside blues, so colour can vary. The soft shade suits the breed's profusely feathered, ball-like shape, and Blues keep the Pekin's docile, broody character.
