About the Gold Partridge Pekin Bantam

A fully standardised Pekin colour. The cock has a dark orange-red head, bright golden-red neck and saddle hackles each striped black down the centre, rich crimson back and wing bow, and a lustrous green-black breast and tail. The hen is a soft golden-straw hackle over light partridge-brown plumage finely pencilled all over with concentric dark rings (the classic 'dead oak leaf' ground). Carried on the breed's rounded, profusely foot-feathered true-bantam shape; docile and broody.
