About the Partridge Pekin Bantam

Partridge is a sex-distinct colour: cocks carry orange-red to golden hackles and saddle striped with black over a lustrous green-black body, while hens are a clear light partridge-brown finely and evenly pencilled all over with concentric rings on a gold-shaded hackle. One of the recognised Pekin colours, the delicate pencilling on the hen rewards close viewing on the breed's full, soft plumage.
