About the Gold Duckwing Phoenix
The Gold (Golden) Duckwing is the warm-toned counterpart of the silver: the cock shows golden-straw hackle and saddle over a black breast and greenish-black tail, with the same crisp blue-black wing bar, while hens are gold-tinged partridge-brown. In the US it derives from crossing Silver Duckwing and Black-Breasted Red lines and was admitted to the APA Standard in 1983. Like all Phoenix it is bred above all for its long, cascading tail.
