About the Silver Duckwing Phoenix
The Silver Duckwing carries the classic duckwing pattern in silver: a black-breasted cock with silvery-white hackle, back and saddle, lustrous greenish-black breast and tail, and the namesake blue-black wing bar above white secondaries; hens are largely silver-grey with a salmon breast. It was the first Phoenix variety admitted to the APA Standard (1965) and remains the type most associated with the breed's flowing 90cm-plus tail.
