About the Columbian Plymouth Rock
A striking white-and-black pattern: a clean white body set off by lustrous greenish-black hackles laced with white, a black tail with white-edged coverts, and black wing markings. The single comb distinguishes it from the rose-combed Columbian Wyandotte. One of the five varieties recognised by the Poultry Club of Great Britain, it dresses the breed's solid dual-purpose frame in a bold, sharply contrasted Columbian restriction pattern.
