About the Self Blue Poland
An even slate-blue (lavender-toned) self colour across body and crest, governed by the single blue dilution gene so it does not breed true — black, blue and splash all appear in the offspring. A scarcer self variety, bearded and muffed like the other selfs, displaying the breed's great crest in soft uniform blue. Ornamental, laying small white eggs.
