About the White-Crested Black Poland
The classic and oldest-standardised Poland, with a lustrous black body topped by a pure white crest — a striking two-tone contrast that made it one of the three varieties in the first 1865 Book of Standards. Like all white-crested varieties it is shown clean-faced, without beard or muffling. A flamboyant ornamental bird kept for its great pom-pom crest and laying small white eggs.
