About the Black Rosecomb
The Black is the original and by far the most popular Rosecomb, the variety from which the breed was perfected. Plumage should be a rich, sound black carrying a strong beetle-green sheen and free of any purple cast, set off dramatically against the breed's signature white earlobes; beak and legs are black. As with all Rosecombs it is a true bantam kept purely for exhibition, prized for its neat rose comb and glossy finish on the show bench.
