About the Blue Rosecomb

The Blue carries the single blue-dilution gene, giving an even slate-blue plumage in place of the Black's solid colour, paired with a near-black beak, bluish-slate shanks and brown eyes. Because blue does not breed true, blue-to-blue matings throw blue, black and splash offspring, so consistent show colour takes careful selection. It remains a true ornamental bantam showing the same rose comb and white earlobes as the breed.
