About the Brown Red Rosecomb
The Brown Red is the gold counterpart of the Birchen, showing orange-gold to lemon hackle and saddle striping over a black body, with gold or lemon breast lacing rather than silver. It shares the dark red (mulberry) comb, face and wattles, black beak, brown eyes and black legs. An uncommon variety bred for the show bench, it carries the breed's neat rose comb and bright white earlobes.
