About the Black-Red Rumpless Game
The classic game-fowl colour: the cock carries a bright orange-red hackle, back and saddle over a glossy black breast, body and tail, while the partridge-brown hen is finely stippled with a salmon breast. As with all Rumpless Game it is hard-feathered and gamey in build, but lacks the tailbone entirely for the breed's rounded, tailless rear. Black-red is one of the most familiar colours in this rare, exhibition-kept British bantam, which descends from Old English Game and lays a few tinted eggs.
