About the Spangled Rumpless Game

Spangled birds carry a ground colour broken by a white tip — a spangle — at the end of each feather, giving a mottled, multi-coloured effect over the body. On this rare hard-feathered British bantam the pattern sits on the breed's gamey, tightly-feathered frame, which lacks the tailbone entirely for a rounded, tailless rear. Like all Rumpless Game it descends from Old English Game, is kept for exhibition and lays a few tinted eggs.
