About the Brown Scots Dumpy
Brown (brown/red) is a more recently introduced Scots Dumpy colour: males carry a lemon-bright neck hackle and back with green-black striping in the hackle, while females show a lemon hackle striped green-black over a browner body, both with dark horn/black beaks and dark eyes. It is standardised in bantams and newer than the original black and cuckoo, set on the breed's short-legged 'creeper' frame.
