About the Silver Scots Dumpy
An old Scottish breed kept for more than two centuries, the Scots Dumpy waddles along on famously short legs — the 'creeper' trait — giving it an unmistakable, low-slung gait. Nearly lost, it was rescued in 1977 with birds brought back from Kenya. A calm dual-purpose bird and a good broody, it lays cream-white eggs — a charming rare piece of Scottish heritage.
