About the Silver Laced Sebright

The Silver Sebright carries the breed's signature lacing on a clear, pure silver-white ground, every almond-shaped feather rimmed sharply and evenly in black from head to tail. It is the later of the two varieties — Sir John Sebright is said to have fixed it by crossing his golds with a white Rosecomb — and like all Sebrights the silver hens and the hen-feathered cocks share identical markings. A true bantam and purely ornamental show bird, both colours were admitted to the Poultry Club of Great Britain standard in 1874.
