About the Spangled Serama
A patterned variety in which each feather carries a contrasting tip, giving a flecked, speckled coat rather than a solid colour. In Serama circles 'spangled' birds are shown only as Traditional or table-top entries, since the breed's recognised American palette is limited to the self and exchequer colours. The pattern aside, it is a typical Serama — the world's smallest chicken, an upright, tame ornamental pet laying tiny cream eggs.
