The Brown-Red Shamo shows lemon-to-orange brown hackle and saddle over a dark, near-black ground with a laced or brown-red breast, a darker, mahogany-toned counterpart to the black-red. The colour sits among the wider Shamo varieties recorded beyond the core APA standard and is displayed on the breed's hard, sparse feathering and immense upright frame.
