About the Brown-Red Shamo

The Brown-Red Shamo shows lemon-to-orange brown hackle and saddle over a dark, near-black ground with a laced or brown-red breast, a darker, mahogany-toned counterpart to the black-red. The colour sits among the wider Shamo varieties recorded beyond the core APA standard and is displayed on the breed's hard, sparse feathering and immense upright frame. As ever, type and presence rather than colour drive the standard.
