About the Pile Shamo
The Pile Shamo replaces the black of the black-red with white, so the cock shows red hackle, back and saddle over a white breast, body and tail, and hens are largely white with salmon shading. It is the standard game-fowl pile pattern carried on the Shamo's hard, sparse feathering and tall, muscular frame. A fancy colour outside the core APA-recognised varieties, kept for the breed's ornamental presence.
