About the White Shamo
The White Shamo (Hakushoku in the Japanese standard) is a clean self-white throughout, a striking foil to the breed's hard, almost bare feathering and pronounced muscular frame. It is a long-established Shamo colour in Japan though it sits outside the three core APA-recognised varieties. Like every Shamo it is kept for sheer statuesque presence rather than colour, which scores no points in the standard.
