About the Gold Silkie
Gold is one of the five UK standard Silkie colours recognised by the PCGB: an even, warm golden plumage (closely allied to the APA's buff) regarded by some breeders as a favourite but demanding to perfect, with significant culling needed to hold an even shade. It sits on the usual dark-skinned, exceptionally broody ornamental Silkie.
