About the Grey Silkie
Grey Silkies carry a silver-based version of the partridge pattern: instead of gold the ground is a dark silver to charcoal grey, typically with darker shading on the crest and wings, giving a cool-toned pencilled bird. Grey is an APA-recognised standard colour, on the same dark-skinned, gentle, broody ornamental Silkie type.
