About the Self Black Silkie
Self black denotes a fully solid black Silkie carrying no other colour, the fur-like plumage uniformly jet black with a green sheen and the face, comb and wattles a dark mulberry approaching black. As a standard black it is recognised by the PCGB and APA, and the all-dark colouring complements the breed's naturally dark skin and bones.
