About the White Sultan

The pure snow-white plumage is the only Sultan colour recognised in the British Poultry Standards, by the American Poultry Association and by the Entente Europeenne, and it is the colour the breed has been famous for since reaching England in 1854. Against the white feathering the breed's full crest, beard, muff, vulture hocks, profusely feathered legs and five toes stand out as a complete ornamental package. Critically rare, it lays only a few small white eggs and is kept purely for show.
