About the White Sumatra
The white Sumatra carries clean, solid white plumage in place of the black variety's green sheen, while retaining the breed's distinctive silhouette: the long, low flowing tail, pheasant-like carriage and multiple leg spurs. It is recognised in the UK by the Poultry Club of Great Britain (the British standard lists black, blue and white) but is not among the colours standardised by the American Poultry Association, and is the scarcest of the three. As with the other colours it is purely an ornamental show bird laying white eggs.
