About the Buff Sussex
The Buff shows the same Columbian markings as the Light — striped neck, dark tail and wing points — but the black is greenish-black laid over a golden-buff ground rather than white. A PCGB-recognised colour, it retains the breed's all-round nature: a steady layer of tinted eggs and a useful table bird for gardens and smallholdings.
